An Invitation to Create: Process Art For Toddlers
We introduced a new artist to the children this week. Pablo Picasso, who is regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, co -founded the Cubist art movement.
"During this invitation to create, the children made choices about if they wanted to cut a paper plate or tear it to create parts of a face or to keep it whole.
This artist decided he would like to tear the paper plate to make shapes.
They studied Picasso's famous painting and explored making similar colors and textures on their painting.
Sometimes art is life-like and other times it gives us freedom to make new interpretations." -Mother Goose Time (Early Learning Curriculum)
